Description

Eidolon is my take on what a Piano would sound like if a friendly ghost decided it was a good place to occupy.

It's a pad instrument created from mangling 2GB of sustained piano samples via all manner of audio destruction - time-stretching, infinite delays, giant reverbs, granular and modular resynthesis, vocoding... the list goes on.

It's perfect for quickly laying down dark atmospheres and tones, or for your next ambient or post rock piece.

The Friendly Ghost

Eidolon is my take on what a Piano would sound like if a benevolent spectre decided it was a good place to occupy. Long, airy, creepy ambiences and tones fill in the voids of your next post-rock track or horror score.

No Traces

The original piano recordings are lost, replaced with a tortured echo of their original form.

These sounds have been mangled beyond recognition using state-of-the-art processing tools, from granular resynthesis to obscene time-stretching and vocoding.

Finally they are given a new home inside cavernous reverbs and infinite delay lines. This instrument is haunted.

    Eidolon comes with 16 sound banks, created from mangling sustained piano samples with all sorts of fun and chaotic techniques.

  • Pick Your Poison:

    Dare to try the power of the NEAT Player engine, a fully featured sampler VST/AU Plugin that comes with custom DSP, highly optimized sample playback, an arpeggiator and Chaos engine. OR stick to your guns and utilize the included Kontakt version of the Instrument. The choice is yours.

  • Randomize:

    The randomize button allows you to generate an entirely new patch with a single click for endless inspiration.

  • Mangled Sound

    Many an hour has been spent hand-crafting and designing these sounds, utilizing cutting edge tools and burning a hole in my CPU. Granular Resynthesis, a full modular setup, giant reverbs and infinite delay lines... But I promise these samples originally sounded like Piano.
